Located in a secluded corner of the stunning non-tidal Kendwa beach on the north-west coast of Zanzibar. Approximately a 50 minute drive from Zanzibar International Airport. The beach is not affected by the tides and beach lovers can enjoy swimming in the beautiful Indian Ocean waters all day long.

72 rooms are bright and spacious with modern furnishings but still have an African feel with the beautifully carved wood and white and golden tones.  Your extremely comfortable room will either overlook the lush tropical gardens or the beautiful beach and turquoise ocean. Each room boasts its own veranda, a perfect place to sit with a drink whilst watching the most amazing African Sunsets.

Deluxe Garden Rooms - 70sqm located on the ground floor overlooking the tropical gardens.  Interconnecting rooms available.

Deluxe Ocean View Rooms - 70sqm located on the first or ground floor boasting a fantastic view of the ocean.

Suite - 90sqm located a few steps from the spectacular beach, these rooms combine the luxury  and comfort of a prime location.

Suite with Pavillion - 90sqm located directly on the beach. Includes a pavillion with comfortable sofa, chair and table.

Luxury Villa retreat - 200sqm located directly on the beach with complete sea views. 2 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Living room. Outdoor Jacuzzi on a wide veranda and a private tent on the beach. These rooms have private butler service.

Jungle Villas - 200sqm with 2 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Open air living room with a privte pool. Surrounded by tropical gardens. These rooms have a private butler service.

There are two restaurants to tantalize your taste buds:

  • Kilimajaro - The main restaurant with a typical African Makuti roof, offering a lavish buffet breakfast and scrumptious a la carte evening meals.
  • Gold - Offers stunning sea views and delicious and creative menus based on locally sourced food such as fresh fish and local Zanzibar spices.


There are two bars in which to relax at the end of your long day in the African sun.

  •  Sultan bar - The place to be if you want to witness the most stunning sunsets whilst sipping on a cocktail or a cold refreshing beer.
  •  Ocean Dhow - Serves drinks to you whilst you lay on your sunbed gazing out to sea.
