Barcelo Bavaro Palace
Overview
Based in the Dominican Republic - we love the variety of food on offer. There are 11 high quality restaurants across a range of cuisines – it’s rare to find a resort where you could stay two weeks and barely have enough time to try all of the restaurants available.
This is a resort that is completely geared up to keep children happy, with a huge range of activities for kids to enjoy. There’s the Barcy Kids Club, a children’s pool and even a waterpark. And if you don’t mind paying the supplement there’s an 18-hole miniature golf course and Laser Tag.
That’s not to say that adults go without – we think parents, couples or singles will love it here too. The Palace Deluxe is home to a 24-hour casino, the Bavaro Nightclub, its own shopping centre and a huge range of sports and watersports. The size of the place means that it does not provide that intimate, romantic feel. It is, however, a haven for relaxation, indulgence and satisfaction.
Top Tip: For families, it’s worth paying the additional supplement to visit the Pirates Island Water Park.
