With your free time you can then opt for a riverboat trip, bike ride or spend time relaxing and lapping up the sun on the beach. Alternatively, you can visit the famous tailors in Hoi An or the My Son ruins – a great excursion to some Hindhu temples (often compared to those of Angkor Wat).

On day 8, fly from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City where you’ll take part in a guided tour of the complex and interesting Cu Chi tunnels (try crawling through some if you’re not claustrophobic!). There’s the option to visit many places here so pick which sound like your favourite, there’s the gut-wrenching but worthwhile War Remnants Museum, the historic Reunification Palace (end of the Vietnam War), the bustling Ben Thanh Market – full of souvenirs and local cuisine, or take a trip to the China Town teahouses and pagadas to learn more about the unique culture within this city.
