Reunion is an island that is begging to be explored on foot – the supreme natural beauty means you can only see the best of it by going on extended nature trails and hikes. Talk to your hotel or resort about the best places to go near where you’re staying.

Beaches

The beaches have darker volcanic sand, but what they lack in beauty, they make up for in seclusion. Many of the beaches here are extremely quiet. It should be noted that the water around Reunion is home to many sharks as such many of the beaches are not considered safe for swimming.
