Your accommodation in Helsinki is included, ensuring a comfortable stay before your adventure continues.

Day 2

Fly to Longyearbyen, Svalbard and Embark

This morning, the group will head to the airport for a private charter flight to Longyearbyen, the largest settlement in Spitsbergen. As your ship departs, take in the initial breathtaking sight of the island's rugged mountains, crowned with glaciers and emerging from the icy waters.

Days 3 to 11

Exploring Spitsbergen

Discover the diverse landscapes of western Spitsbergen and its northern islands. With polar deserts, immense glaciers, and a rich variety of wildlife, each journey offers unique experiences, shaped by varying weather and ice conditions. Our flexible itinerary may include visits to the 14th of July Glacier, Smeerenburg, Phippsøya, Alkhornet, and the Hinlopen Strait, prioritizing prime wildlife spots and historical and geological significance.

Spitsbergen, a haven for wildlife photographers, is an Arctic paradise for observing polar bears, walruses, and a plethora of bird life, including Brünnich’s guillemots at Alkefjellet's towering cliffs. Witness the impressive gatherings of walruses and consider pre-booking a sea kayaking adventure for an up-close experience.

The island's tundra transforms into a vibrant landscape in summer, dotted with wildflowers. Each day brings new sights, from majestic icebergs and resting polar bears to relics of past explorations, offering a continual feast for the senses in this pristine Arctic wilderness.
