Located in the middle of Cochin Fort, this hotel used to be, as the name suggests, a boatyard. It has been lovingly converted into an ecologically friendly hotel with a lot of charm. From the enormous Indo-Portuguese Punkays in the lobby to the ancient anchor in the green courtyard every detail has a story to tell. The walls are full of old black and white photography and portraits to back this up.

• Harbour view rooms all overlook the Arabian Sea and come air conditioned, with ceiling fans, traditional tiles bathroom, a four poster style bed and excellent mahogany furniture.
• Suites have the same facilities but are much larger with an antique desk
