Tanjung Aru Resort lies on a 150 metre stretch of white sandy beach. The airport is only a 10 minute drive away, and local attractions and the city centre are close by. The resort is surprisingly tranquil, although there is plenty of activity for those feeling energetic

• Kinabalu wing has two different room types
• Kinabalu superior rooms have views towards Mount Kinabalu, all are air conditioned, telephone, television, mini bar, bath, shower and balcony.
• Kinabalu deluxe rooms are the same as above but with spectacular views of the South China Sea.
• The Tanjung wing is beautifully decorated and furnished and all of the rooms overlook either the pool or the sea

What to do

• A visit to Kinabalu National Park is a must, you can do a jungle walk, or a visit to Sepilok Orang Utan Centre where the Orang Utans are rehabilitated back into the wild.
• You can also visit the offshore coral islands which are approximately a 15 minute boat ride away
