Namibia is a breath-taking and fascinating destination, with a rich culture and spectacular scenery. Spend time exploring many of its highlights on this memorable 11-day tour which sees you experience the celebrated wildlife, meet the friendly local tribes and visit some of the most famous landmarks. Arrive into Windhoek and then transfer to your hotel, with the remainder of the day yours to spend at your leisure.

Day 2 - 3
Etosha National Park
On day 2 you will depart from Windhoek and head north via Okahandja for a trip to a local market to shop for curios and wood carvings. In the afternoon you’ll arrive at the lodge for your overnight stay. On day 3, you’ll have a full day in the park, exploring the wildlife and visiting a number of watering holes to see the animals which thrive here. Etosha means ‘the place of dry water’ and it is here that you’ll get your first glimpse of the magnificent pan.

You’ll have another day to explore the park and go out in search of the prolific birdlife and animals which can be found here, including the large population of elephants. The accommodation is located just outside of the reserve.

Day 5 - 6
Day 5 sees you rise early for one of the most memorable days of the trip. With their intricate hairstyles and authentic tribal adornments, the Himba are one of Namibia’s most distinctive tribes. You’ll spend some time with these fascinating people, learning about their culture and traditions. From the small settlement near Kamanjab, you’ll journey via Khorixas to your lodge, arriving mid-afternoon.
On day 6, you will head out in the morning to see the highlights of Damaraland, passing through scenic landscapes on your way to the Petrified Forest. You’ll visit the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and some of the unusual geological features such as the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain. The afternoon is yours to spend as you wish.

Day 7 - 8
Today you will continue on your journey via Henties Bay to the coastal resort of Swakopmund. The remainder of the day is yours to spend at leisure, exploring this charming town. On day 8, you will continue exploring at your leisure – why not indulge in a scenic flight over the landscape or go on a harbour cruise? There are plenty of activities to take part in here.

Day 9 - 10
In the morning, you’ll visit some of the regions natural wonders, such as the Moon Landscape and the ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis. Continue on to the Namib Desert and proceed through the Namib Naukluft Park, the Kuiseb Canyon and the Gaub Pass before reaching your accommodation in the evening. On day 10, you will visit the spectacular dunes that Namibia is famous for, reportedly the highest dunes in the world. If you’re feeling energetic, you can even climb them! In the afternoon, return to the lodge.

Sossusvlei – Windhoek
In the morning, enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Spreetshoogte Pass (road conditions permitting) as you make your way towards Windhoek. You’ll arrive at the Windhoek City Hotel around 1.30pm, but you may wish to be dropped off at the airport by 2.30pm.
